About ASPPI
(Association of Safety Practitioners of the Philippines, Inc.)

  • A non-stock, non profit professional organization composed of Department of Labour and Employment (DOLE)/ Bureau of Working Condition (BWC) accredited safety practitioners and consultants;
  • Total membership - over 2,500 Safety professionals in various industries in the Philippines and overseas;
  • Organized in 1999 with the support of the Department of Labour and Employment (DOLE) through the Bureau of Working Condition (BWC);
  • Registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on December 8, 1999 with SEC Registration No. 199919006;
GOAL
To assist DOLE in the promotion, administration and enforcement of the Occupational, Safety & Health (OSH) standards.
OBJECTIVES
  1. Promote professionalism in the practice of Safety and Health,
  2. Assist other institutions and establishments in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment,
  3. Strengthen camaraderie and unity among DOLE-BWC accredited professionals.
VISION
To be the respected leader of all safety and health organizations in the Philippines, providing professional technical services and support programs of global standards with national interest.
MISSION
  1. To equip all safety professionals with the needed knowledge and skills in the promotion and application of safety and health programs and other related activities,
  2. To upgrade all OSH Standards, Codes, Rules / Regulations and programs to globally competitive levels in conjunction with the national government and its related agencies,
  3. To generate a continuing program of linkage and partnership with the other safety oriented organizations and entities through its Chapters for the protection and welfare of all workers including their families.

    • undertakes site visit of workplaces of sub-contractors, service providers, supply chain of small brothers/MSMEs of big companies (big brothers) for OSH compliance - (Kapatiran Wise / TAV project of DOLE-BWC)
    • ensures perfect safety performance of companies (SMILE-safety milestone project of DOLE-BWC)
  • Outreach program to communities
    • free lectures / learning sessions on OSH (schools, barangays)
    • medical - dental services (marginalized communities)
