RA 9514: New Fire Code of the Philippines

Sir/ Ma'am:

Good day. I would like to ask po kung mayroon na pong member na may awareness on RA 9514? I've attended a short seminar po kasi and a passing was done sa new Fire Code.

Sabi po kasi ng speaker, required na daw po talaga sa new code ang annual fire extinguisher refilling. I've went a bit po sa IRR ng code, at ang nabanggit lang po ay maintenance must be conducted annually; pero sa definition, di po nasabi ko ano ang scope ng maintenance.

Dagdag pa po, gusto pa po kasi naman malaman kung ano talaga changes between the two codes.

Meron po kayang legit at talagang competent organizations na makakapag-conduct ng FULL awareness on RA 9514?

Sana po, mag-spearhead ang ASPPI.

To the ASPPI Board of Directors,

Kindly check the inquiry of Mr. RONIDAPOGI related to RA 9514, there were STO who are conducting this new Fire Code, however the content of their training module were almost the same of the old version.

By the way, when will the 10th ASPPI convention results will post on this web.

PS: May nag-offer ng 2-day training about RA 9514, and one of our Safety Officers attended it. According to him, nothing was really discussed about the new code. Ang sabi pa daw ng speaker: "Basahin nyo na lang." Alam nyo kaya kung accredited ng DOLE-BWC ang STO na to: I think it's Safeway? Please share your thoughts about this. Thanks again.
